Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process of self-discovery and growth that is brought about through an honest and trusting relationship with your coach. This process inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential, reaching goals you set for yourself and overcoming roadblocks that may have hindered you from reaching these goals. As a coach, I believe you are the "expert" concerning your life and I simply try to help you tap into the creativity and resourcefulness within you. 2. What is Co-Active Coaching?
"Co-Active Coaching" is the brand name of an experience of personal and professional development unique from other kinds of coaching. Based on the Co-Active Model developed by CTI, based in San Rafael California, it is a philosophy that maintains that you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole, and completely capable of finding your own answers to whatever challenges you face. My job as a Co-Active Coach® is to ask probing and powerful questions, listen to your responses, and then empower you to unlock the skills and creativity you already possesses, rather than simply instructing or advising. I use an array of Co-Active tools that have been proven as the gold standard in coaching for more than 20 years.
3. How is coaching delivered? What does the process look like?
Coaching typically begins with a personal interview (typically a conference call) to assess an individual's or business’ current opportunities and challenges. During this initial call, we will also define the scope of our relationship, identify priorities for action, and establish specific desired outcomes. Subsequent coaching sessions may be conducted in person or over the telephone, with each session lasting from 45 to 60 minutes. In between scheduled coaching sessions, you may be asked to complete additional asks that support reaching one's prioritized goals. I may also provide additional resources in the form of relevant articles, checklists, assessments or models to support your thinking and actions. The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on specific needs and preferences. Most typical coaching relationships includes the following:

The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on your needs and preferences. I work with most clients for a minimum of three months. Factors that may impact this length of time include: the types of goals, the ways individuals or teams prefer to work, the frequency of coaching meetings, and financial resources.

- Discovery session: The first session is a discovery session. This session provides a coach and a client an opportunity to learn about each other and create coaching goals and actionable strategies.
- Sessions: This is where the real work is done. Coaching topics may be changed each session depending on your needs at that time. Most clients bring a wide range of topics which they want to talk and think about during sessions. Typically sessions happen weekly or every two weeks for the duration of a minimum three months. Most clients typically continue with coaching for six months or longer.
- Completion: Towards the end of the coaching relationship, we will spend time reviewing and consolidating what you have accomplished during the coaching sessions. We will also discuss what else could be done in the future and what your next actions may be. Many clients find that the acknowledgement they receive during this stage to be quite powerful.
